In 2016, nearly 20,000 festival-goers flocked to Days Off to enjoy the creations of Benjamin Clémentine, Anohni, Philip Glass & the Kronos Quartet, Mogwaï and Max Richter, and to dance to the rhythms of the new French pop scene. This eighth edition will be faithful once more to a mission statement first set in 2010: to make each concert an original creation and a unique event. In 2017, this challenge has been set for artists including Air, Metronomy, Devendra Banhart, Jarvis Cocker & Chilly Gonzales (“Room 29”), Savages, Kate Tempest and Tinderstick, who will present their latest release, Minute Bodies.
The young French scene, meanwhile, will be represented at the Hexagone #2 night by Jacques, Juliette Armanet and Calypso Valois, one year on from the performances of Isaac Delusion, L'Impératrice and Bagarre, who are now all continuing to fly the flag for French indie music. The line-up for Days Off 2017 can be found online, and tickets are on sale now.
